God wants us to trust him with our life, to have no doubt. The Lord’s Prayer reminds us that God is sovereign; He alone rules. The added verse, “Thine is the kingdom” reinforces this message.  God asks that we be good stewards over what He has provided.  He asks that His gifts be directed to serve His purpose because it comes to us by God’s grace and mercy.

God is always actively making sure that things are going the way He wants them to go “…and the power.”  God may even use our enemy as a blessing to help us reach His desired outcome. Our only concern is will we trust Him.  God is always in the present tense.  He is omnipresent, omnipotent, and omniscient.  He doesn’t have to try to be glorious, it’s who God is.

As we continue through this holy season ask yourself, are you submitting to God’s will?
